The system of the small compound UAV XTW-4 is developed for application task in special take-off and landing environment. 

This kind of UAV system owns some superior qualities like high reliability and convenient dirigibility as well as optimized aerodynamic layout. It is equipped with automatic vertical take-off and landing system, it also can be mounted to high-precision and stable-photoelectric platform, hyperspectral imager and full frame digital camera and other mission payloads. 

It can realize full autonomous operation, which can provide users with more flexible application, more convenient and more reliable manipulation. It also can simplify the operation requirements when training the personnel. After a series of flying test, aerial survey and remote sensing test, the remote sensing system of XTW-4 with fixed wing has been successfully applied in fields like aerial survey, disaster monitoring and assessment, emergency monitoring, forest fire prevention and firefighting, investigation of land and resources. It has become another helpful tool in aerial remote sensing and monitoring.



Brief system introduction


XTW-4 UAV, which is equipped with composite model of quadrotor and fixed wing in order to solve special situations under special circumstances adopts high-lift airfoil with lift-drag ratios and excellent flight performance.

4 kg maximum mission load of XTW-4 UAV makes it can carry a larger pixel image sensor. 

At the same time, this UAV system owns high-degree automation, so the whole flight process has characteristics of independent vertical take-off and landing, which solves its flight dependence on flying sites. 

And for users of UAV, they can basically get rid of the dependence on flight control. System assembly and pre-flight inspection only take a few minutes, and the withdraw process of the system is also very simple. Skilled operators can complete the withdraw process in a few minutes.

  • The adoption of compound model of quadrotor and fixed wing can concentrate on solving the problem that the fixed-wing UAV will need specialized runway and site when taking off and landing; It also uses high-quality composite materials, advanced processing technology, high-precision molds and all kinds of precision parts and electrical mechanical equipment, which can effectively ensure the reliability and stability of the system.

  • By adopting specialized compound UVA flight control system, it is able to satisfy the requirement of spectral remote sensing and fully automated over-the-horizon task during the measuring process after achieving system integration and software development.

  • By equipping with self-independence route planning software, optimal flight shooting files and task report can be quickly generated based on the polygon vertex coordinates of measured area and all kinds of spectral remote sensing and aerial parameters, such as shooting scale, overlap rate, etc.

  • By equipping with portable ground control station or laptop, the flight and operation status of the UAV can be monitored in real time by using control software through the wireless data link so that the operation and flight of UAV can be controlled flexibly.

  • Professional multi-spectral/high-spectral camera and digital camera matching with specialized stable PTZ control can effectively control the posture of the image so that the aerial survey can be in error range.

  • Specialized optoelectronic stability control platform can make sure that the camera can be configured in any needed position to carry through continuous video monitoring and target tracking and identification.
